Level 8. Age 13-18
Pre-professional level for students taking the full program. Flexible program 4 days a week allowed. Students must be on pointe. Students will be placed into this level upon a successful placement meeting. Placement meeting can include consultation and explanation about possible plans for the school year. Meeting with consultation must be scheduled by email or text.
The program is designed for students who want to advance in ballet studies, to move towards being professional dancers. Flexible program students are allowed to join this group after the evaluation class. This program needs professional self-discipline. It includes classical ballet technique, body conditioning and stretching, pointe technique, contemporary and modern dance, character dance, and variation classes.
Many students of this level are numerous winners of international and U.S.-based competitions. Students entering this level must have prior experience.
Students of this level were accepted to prestigious ballet academies around the world. Princess Grace Dance Academy, Vaganova Ballet Academy, Zurich Dance Academy.
Girls:
Uniforms (leotard and skirt) are available from Ballet Institute.
Pink tights, pink canvas ballet slippers, available from Ballet Institute, as well as Dancer’s Choice
Boys:
White short–sleeved leotard, T-shirt
High Waist Dance Legging
White ankle socks – students may wear any plain thin white socks
