Tuition may be paid either for the full year with the 5% discount or per 12-week quarter. Tuition is due the first week of each session (or starting classes) and the $15 late fee will be assessed otherwise. If payment is not received as stated above, – your child may not participate in classes, but only observe them until the payment is received.
WE ACCEPT personal checks, cash, MasterCard or Visa as well as PayPal payments. It is your responsibility to pay on time and we cannot promise reminders will be sent out. However, please add firstname.lastname@example.org address to your e-mail contact list so our emails avoid being sent to spam folder.
REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCES are considered part of the student’s training & stage experience; therefore, missed/cancelled classes may not lower tuition during these periods.
HOLIDAYS. There will be no classes on the days that fall on national holidays. Winter vacation is 2-3 weeks immediately following the end of the 1st quarter: approximately mid-December to beginning of January.
CLASSES. Parents are responsible for the neat appearance and timely arrival of the student to the classroom so as to provide her/him with a comfortable environment for learning.
MISSED CLASSES. It is necessary to notify your Teacher if a class must be missed or a make-up class is planned. Classes are available with one group higher or lower level, as well as choosing from additional lessons. Classes may only be made up within 30 days of the missed class and only if the student is enrolled as a Quarterly Payment Student. Make-up classes schedule will be suggested by your Teacher.
INDIVIDUAL LESSONS provide stimulation and progress of individual students and are allowed and encouraged at all levels. Individual lessons are in addition to the regular schedule and cannot be taken instead of scheduled lessons.
ATTIRE. Students must wear their class uniform. Girls must have clean pale pink tights and pink ballet slippers. Hair must be pulled back and tightly secured in a bun. Students in a ballet lesson should look clean and neat. Warm-up clothes are not required, but a suggested itemized list of warm-up clothing will be provided by BISD upon request.
NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES. The schedule is the responsibility of Ballet Institute of San Diego. The BISD reserves the right to change the Registration Policy with a 30-day notice. The BISD reserves the right to provide substitute instructors and/or makeup classes as needed.
